More and more, people are realizing the importance and value of soil and water quality in their neighborhoods. Communities are becoming more proactive in working to protect their watersheds and implement new practices to reduce the impacts of development. Municipal planners and stormwater engineers are also looking at new ways to reduce the demands on existing stormwater systems by building wetlands, rain gardens, and riparian buffer zones. This new paradigm shift has changed the common mindset of working against nature into working with it and realizing its place in our communities.
EcoGro was created in 2006 as a new division of Advanced Mulching Technologies, Inc. in order to provide a unique service to the “Green Industry”. We are a professional contracting and consulting group that use ecological solutions to resolve the degradation of our local natural areas. Our services include erosion prevention and sediment control products, vegetative BMP installation and maintenance, vegetated stormwater structures, stream mitigation, stream and pond bank stabilization, steep slope stabilization, native habitat restoration and stewardship programs, as well as various specialty seeding techniques. We provide the services and products that protect our watersheds and establish healthy, native ecosystems.
