EcoGro Stream and Pond Stabilization

As with our environmental restoration projects, EcoGro has also been able to use our specialized knowledge, experience and skills of native habitat establishment for stabilizing stream and pond banks. With an ecological perspective, we use native grasses, wildflowers, trees, shrubs and aquatic plants to control erosion, produce wildlife habitat, create a low-maintenance landscape and provide nutrient management. We utilize the dense, elaborate root systems of native plants in conjunction with a variety of soil bioengineering techniques to naturally reinforce slopes. Projects can range from bank shaping and structural development to simply armoring existing profiles. Based on site conditions, limitations to access and the extent of slope protection required, we can custom tailor a project to meet the owner’s desired aesthetic and maintenance requirements.
